Scope: This person will lead a team of communications infrastructure technical resources with the mission of developing sustained business growth in China,Korea,Taiwan,India. The key core competencies of this team will be Infrastructure systems,RF and high speed ADC technology
The candidate will report to the Communications infrastructure director with a dotted line to the VP of Asia sales.
Key Priorities of the role
1.
Management
and organization:
The team will consists of CPT and Applications Eng specialists, Business development leaders and Field Applications Leaders. The leader should have strong organizational development, motivational
and relationship development skillset. This role needs to be a bridge between Technology skillsets
at the key customers and connect right back to
XX segment team and design team resources.
The objective is to create an environment of more
XX systems influence for the customer, more analysis in the field of the value proposition from XX
including competition analysis and a better impedance between the short term imperative in the field and the long term investment return imperative of the product development teams. As such strong team skills, collaborative tendencies and communications capability are needed: Critical

Technical competency.

a.
System Knowledge:
Ideally the candidate would have strong communications system knowledge:Nice to Have
b.
Technical credibility:
The candidate will need to lead a technical team and as such should have senior technical influence both with customer , with account team and with product development groups : Critical
c.
Product Development knowledge and familiarity


3.
Cultural effectiveness. It may also be important to be a chinese speaker and culturally atuned to developing business in China
. Direct technology links and communications with the customer are expected of this team as well as understanding the implications of Govt strategy and decisions for infrastructure market : Important to Have

Customer communications – Driver of go
Left strategy.
The number 1 goal of this structure is to develop XX into a system advisor with Key customers. The XX value proposition
needs to be the 1st place a customers architect will come to
select a solution to their problem at the component and at the system level.
XX
’s key advantage now is that we are the only company that can represent the full radio signal chain and optimize it for
high Bandwidth lower cost direct conversion or higher Bandwidth, Higher performance multicarrier for multistandard applications.
This advantage will last at most one more year => we need a system champion strategy driver that will establish the present leverage we can bring into a sustainable business defence against increasing component competition.

Business Investment Catalyst: This candidate needs to coach the XXteam to communicate this advisor relationship to the customer and promote this capability in a consistent sustained manner. The candidate also needs to be able to represent the technology needs
of the customer back into

in a manner that addresses the Key business questions that will drive an objective business decision. : Important to Have.

As such a knowledge and appreciation of product development process would be a strong benefit for the next phase of XX business development. : Important to Have.
6.
Strategy development: The candidate should understand XX
overall strategic plan and be a strong influence on the account teams to develop this Strategy: The candidate will ideally coach the account teams on strategy and bring up the level of strategic plan development at the accounts .

XX environment capable: There is an element of urgency in need to make this person effective with the team . As such it would be a trong benefit to have someone that is familiar with XX ways and will hit the ground running. :Nice to Have
