Job Title (Sr./ Staff) Interface IP FAE
Location: Shanghai
Job Description and Requirements
A FAE (Field Application Engineer) role is responsible for providing pre-sales and assistance of post-sales support for Synopsys' DesignWare Intellectual Property (DW IP) within the AP region with primary focus on the East China region. The AP region consists of China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, India, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Australia.
A FAE’s responsibilities include:
1) Providing direct technical support to customers in presale stage to persuade customers to adopt Synopsys solution.
2) Working with the sales teams to manage the IP activities in the region to achieve a high customer satisfaction and for building strong customer relationships
3) Providing customer feedback on new/existing requirements for DW IP usage from DW IP customers to Synopsys
4) Providing direct technical customer support and assistance to enable customers to successfully use DW IP
A FAE manages the DW IP technical support requirements and needs for customers and for prospective customers. This role requires a FAE to work across the business unit and with other products to provide high quality support to the customers.
A FAE may write application notes, attend technical conferences and review projects and protocol specifications. A FAE provides technical guidance and support to the sales team during calls, meetings, and marketing events.
Requirements:
Qualified applicants will have a BSEE, MSEE preferred, at least 5+ years relevant experience in ASIC/FPGA designs. Exposure to IP-based SOC design and real tape-out experience are highly desired.
An understanding of system design and logic design using an HDL language, synthesis, simulation and verification CAD tools is important. Hands on experience with DC or equivalent is important. The ability to conduct technical meetings, presentations, seminars, product demonstrations, and training to customers and to the sales team is required.
Experience for one or multiple I/O protocols, such as USB, DDR, PCIe, MIPI, SATA, HDMI, and Ethernet are preferred. Good written and verbal communication skills and problem solving skills are required. Travel (up to 30%) within the AP region may be required. |
