​Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for aggressively growing the sales of our products in China. This individual will have responsibility for driving sales initiatives at the OEM, Tier 1 and distribution levels of the market. There will be a special focus on providing competitive solutions to Tier suppliers and commercial vehicle OEMs in China.
The candidate will be responsible for day-to-day interface with various disciplines of our customers, as well as building profitable sales growth through support of current and future products. In the future, this candidate will help to establish a sales strategy that will include the creation of sales initiatives that leverage the company’s relationships, products, technologies and services. This individual will provide a clear description of the market and competitive landscape as well as the “voice of the customer” as input into the development of the overall business strategy as well as the sales strategy.
Dimensions:
This position will:
Assist in developing and implementing a domestic China sales and marketing plan
Manage a personal sales and marketing budget
Be responsible for maintaining or surpassing an investment-to-profit ratio for their sales
Principle Accountabilities:
· Creating further reach within the Bus and Heavy Truck markets and identify new product and project opportunities and then seeing them through to sales and growth.
· Provide credible insights into the future direction and evolving needs within these markets, and proactively assist in positioning the company to support those needs by helping to develop and implement local sales plans.
· Assist in pursuing and supporting new product opportunities from both a commercial and technical standpoint.
· Strengthen and expand current customer relationships so they have no reason to do business with any of our competitors in the future.
· Playing a key role in guiding the product sales and distribution strategy in coordination with the technical team and manufacturing.
· Ensure customer satisfaction whether it relates to issues of cost, quality, delivery or service. Champion and follow through to successful resolution any quality, delivery or service issues that arise from a customer and focus on fast response and root cause resolution to the problems.
· Champion and follow through to successful completion any sales, marketing and product strategies that are developed including distribution, pricing, warranty, lead-time, service, etc…
Internally, this person will also work closely with the company’s engineering, program management and manufacturing staffs to help develop a coordinated, effective approach to sales and service.
