Job Description
Principal MTS Software Development for Mobile segment in China.
As part of ####’s rapidly growing mobile business & software team, you will play a key role in supporting our products that mainly target high-end Smartphones and Mobile Computing Devices (e-readers, tablets, Ultra-books,etc…) Working within a team of software & hardware engineers, you will be responsible for managing and contributing to a team that supports our tier one consumer market customers in China. Your goal will be to accelerate time to market and build strong technical partnerships. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about mobile and consumer products.
####’s products that target the mobile segment are optical sensors, Motion Sensors, power management IC’s (“PMICs”), Audio Solutions, Touch Controllers and Display Solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Lead a team of engineers responsible for getting customers into production with #### audio products
• Be the ‘lead customer’ of ####’s software engineering team: provide critical and constructive feedback to ensure production-ready products
• Work synergistically with the hardware applications team to ensure customers experience #### mobile products as complete solutions
• Face-to-face support of consumer electronics manufacturers using ####’s mobile products such as optical sensors, Motion Sensors, power management IC’s (“PMICs”), Audio Solutions, Touch Controllers and Display Solutions.
• Bring-up, testing and debugging of emulation and production hardware
• Integration of products on mobile phone and tablet development platforms
• Write and maintain customer facing application notes
• Develop and maintain drivers, tuning software, and integration tools
Job Requirements
• C, C++, and audio dsp software experience
• Experience in interacting and supporting tier-one consumer market OEM’s from customer samples through production
• Strong system level trouble-shooting and debugging skills (JTAG, scopes, etc)
• Experience with real-time audio systems in both Analog and digital domains
• Experience writing device drivers is a big plus
• Knowledge of Android at the hardware abstraction layer is desirable
• Experience writing short/focused technical documentation, eg, application notes
• DSP algorithm knowledge is a big plus
• Experience training FAEs or willingness to teach such seminars is desirable
• Experience with the GNU tool-chain, Git, subversion, Jira, and MS tools are desirable
• BS/MS in computer science or electrical engineering with 8+ years of experience including  2+ years of team lead or management experience
• Ability to travel domestically & overseas with some frequency
