关于adding instance padding

在EDI91-UG-placement中，关于adding instance padding,有如下描述，

Instance padding is specified in terms of the number of sites occupied by each instance.
（Instance padding是基于每个instance占据的site的数量而确定的）

For example, if a row fits 30 instances without padding,
（例如，如果一个row适合放置30个无padding instance）

you can specify padding of two sites for each instance in the row.
(声名每个instance 占据2个site宽度)

In this case, each instance in the row will then occupy two sites, and the row will fit only 15 instances.
（那么，这个row只能容纳15个instance）

那我就不明白了，可以放置30个无padding instance，每个instance 是site的整数倍，
                那么row中至少包含30个以上的site,
                        如果每个instance 占据2个site宽度，
                那么这个row可以容纳15个以上instance吧？

正确的理解应该是什么？

我理解的是这里的padding给指定单元的边上留出几个site的空间，也就是说制定单元占的空间等于他本身的空间在加上给它的padding

   ug中得出这样的结论，似乎文章假设每个无padding instance 原本只占一个site。
   不知道假设是否正确？
   
   的确，有时候ug里面说的不够明确，或者是思维方式有偏差，总容易引起误读啊，
    所以有时候在理解ug时，我们不得不做出大胆的推测，这对初学者是个考验...

   其实，在ug的同一部分，也就是cell padding 部分，提到了您说的‘系数’的问题，一般这个系数都大于1。

   不知道您对cell padding 和instance padding 的区别，有研究吗？

    您说的很明确，我也这么认为的，padding area = instance 占用的site - cell本身占用的site

Adding Instance Padding

Instance padding is specified in terms of the number of sites occupied by each instance. For example, if a row fits 30 single-site instances without padding, you can specify padding of two sites for each instance in the row. In this case, each instance in the row will then occupy three sites, and the row will fit only 10 instances.

1. Specify the following command: specifyInstPad

2. (Optional) Report instance padding by using the following command: reportInstPad

To delete instance padding, use the following command: deleteInstPad
