Job description:
As a Firmware design engineer, you will join a rapidly growing team of professionals in the development and verification of real-time firmware for storage ASICs. Your initial responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
• Collaborate with global hardware, validation teams to develop the full storage system solution.

• Analyze business & technical requirements and then create the firmware module designs

• Develop state of art firmware on embedded system.

• Test and debug the issues found as well as provide comprehensive analysis.

• Participate in specification, design and implementation review with peers.

• Use of storage testers, analyzer and other debug tools.

• Write and review engineering documentations

Qualification:
• Master or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

• 7+ years of Firmware design, development and test experience.

• Strong skills of C language programming and debugging.

• Good spoken and written English

• Team-working, good communications, eager to learn.

• Experience on RAID and software virtualization is the asset.

• Familiar with storage specifications, especially SCSI, SAS, SATA, and PCI Express are plus.

• Experience on Solid State storage technology, including NAND Flash, Flash device controller, Flash file system, wear-leveling algorithm, provisioning are preferred.
