This report discusses the design and implementation of an OFDM modemfor a simplex communication between two PCs over a frequencyselective channel. First a brief introduction is provided byexplaining the backrground and the specification of the project. Thenthe report deals with the system model. Each block of the OFDM systemis described (IFFT/FFT, cyclic prefix, modulation/demodulation, channelestimation, bit loading). In the following section, the systemarchitecture is analysed. The transmission protocol, as well as thesystem parameters are explained in details. Then, the DSPimplementation is discussed. Finally, the results are provided in thelast chapter.
