​ osition Overview The staff system engineer will work closely with customers, field team, and development team, to define differentiated new product roadmap, to own the new product definition and support development team activities, to evaluate newly designed silicon as it is applied in the target system such that operation and performance in the target system is guaranteed as well as to provide follow-up support to customers during their design phase. The staff system engineer will understand and give proposals on how the customer uses the products, what types of challenges are typically encountered during the system design phase, and solutions to those challenges. Performance Objectives The successful candidate will: Engage in day-to-day activities involving troubleshooting circuits, board level circuit design, bench testing, writing technical documentation, and developing design tools for customers. Technical documentation includes but is not limited to schematics, evaluation guides, application software guides, and application notes. Perform competitive analysis and work with broad customers to develop differentiated new product roadmap. Own the new product specifications and support new product development team to ensure timely new product development execution. Closely collaborate with regional FAE teams and field sales teams with applications information related to the entire product line. Develop training materials for FAE teams and field sales teams. Product presentations will be prepared and presented to internal management and external customers. Generate product promotion initiatives for existing and new developed products and drive DIN’s Instruct vendors in building hardware, selecting components and assembling certain test set-ups. Travel (approximately 35% of the time, both domestic and international)
Skills and Experience Required BSEE/ MSEE and 5+ Years of Experience In-depth knowledge of power switch and analog switch product families with strong analytical and problem solving skills. Strong track record of defining successful product roadmap and product definitions with successful products released to market. Strong track record of solving customer application issues and secure design ins. Must have extensive experience in working in labs using digital scopes, digital multi-meters, power supplies, curve tracers, programmable loads, current sensors,… Design skills to design evaluation boards, using advanced CAD tools with strong experience on optimum component placement, PCB routing and an in-depth understanding of the parasitics of PCBs and passive components. Software skills: Microsoft Office Suite of Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and a CAD package for schematic and layouts.
