SystemTechnical Manager

Technical leader responsible for platform development, and systemdesign and validation of APU/CPU products in our Shanghai R&D Center (SRDC),systems are integrated combinations of computer hardware components (APU/CPUs,graphics, memory, IO adapters, peripherals, and BMCs) and software components(firmware, drivers, OS, virtualization, and system management). This individualwill interface with Marketing, Silicon design, Software, and Validation teamsto define our platforms for new silicon, provide detailed technical directionto the engineers to develop the motherboard, bring up the platform and silicon,debug issues, and complete system validation.

Candidate Requirements:
The candidate must have a BS or MSEE degree and a minimum of 10 years ofrelevant working experience in new product development from a design, platformand/or product engineering discipline. The candidate should have experienceboth as a technical lead and/or a project manager. The candidate must also havea strong understanding of the general silicon engineering process (preferablyCPU or GPU), from concept to tape-out to production. Furthermore the candidateshould have experience with driving a multi-site and multi-disciplinedengineering program.

The candidate should be a proven leader, be able create and maintain a workingcross functional team and manage in a matrixed environment. A successfulcandidate must have exceptional verbal, as well as written, communicationskills. Additional requirements:
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to structure and execute complex analysis, draw insights, andcommunicate summary findings/recommendations to senior management as well as ourcompany customers
- Ability to network, build relationships, and drive effective decision-makingacross multiple functions and levels within the organization
- Highly organized, able to prioritize, and juggle multiple work streams totight deadlines

Responsibilities
- Definition, design, and delivery of validation, reference platforms andHST/SLT platforms

- System simulation, pin-outs, and MB design guidance
-Package design
- Thermal solution and testing
- Architecture of Silicon and System validation
- Validation test plans and execution of test plans
- Validation and debug tools requirements and development of tools (PSO alsodevelops tools)
- Electrical analysis and characterization
- System and Si debug

Key deliverables
- Reference, validation and HST platforms and associated specifications

- Comprehensive System POR Specification
- External specs, docs and design guides
- Silicon and System test plans.
