CPU Performance Modeling Engineer
Marvell Technology Shanghai Ltd (Zhang Jiang Office in Pudong)

CPU R&D group in Shanghai is chartered to develop and deliver world-class high
frequency and low power CPUs which are compatible to ARM v7/8 ISA, joint-design
with Operating System and Virtual Machine for phone, tablet and smartTV. The group also
delivers high quality and complete development tools, modeling and optimization
solutions for Marvell CPUs in Marvell application processors, communication
processor, video processors, storage processors, printer processors and etc.

Job Description:
The candidate will be the key member of CPU team and participate in the development of next generation of high-end and state-of-art ARM based application processors, and responsible for:
1.Design and develop performance model of processor and memory sub-system to help making Design decisions.
2.Cowork with designers to understand the micro-architectures well for good accuracy.
3.Collect benchmarks and performance data, do performance analysis and figure out bottlenecks.
4.Do performance verification, report performance bugs of hardware design and find the root causes
5.Explore new/optimized micro-architectures and advanced modeling methodologies.


Qualification:
1.BS/MS/PhD in EE/CS(or equivalent).
2.Solid knowledge of computer architecture and digital IC.
3.Experience in cycle accurate CPU (or equivalent) modeling, multi-processor is preferred.
4.Good programming skills in C/C++, experience in using SystemC is a plus.
5.Strong abstraction skills for hardware behavior.
6.Fluent communication in both Chinese and English

CPU Design Verification Engineer

Job Description:
The candidate will be the key member of CPU team and participate in the development of next generation of high-end and state-of-art ARM based application processors, and responsible for:
1.Work with RTL designers to debug failing tests and resolve bugs.
2.Develop and execute functional verification test plans, including writing tests, developing behavioral checkers or coverage monitors.
3.Analyze coverage gaps and devise strategies to fill coverage holes.
4.Build up verification environment, including development of test benches and test generators for block-level and processor-level simulation.
5.Help define and evolve our verification methodologies.


Qualification:
1.BS/MS/PhD in electronic engineering/computer science (or equivalent).   
2.Experience in CPU (or equivalent) verification, including test plan and test bench development,test case development and test coverage assessment.
3.Experience in assembly programming (ARM assembly preferred).
4.Experience using Perl or other UNIX scripting languages for flow automation.
5.Knowledge of computer architecture is a plus.
6.Knowledge of constrained random verification methodologies such as UVM/OVM is a plus.
7.Strong problem-solving skills.
8.Fluent communication in both Chinese and English is an advantage.

- Analysis and joint design with CPU design team for better performance of
micro-architecture of Marvell CPU cores.


Qualification:
- MS/PhD in computer science/electronic engineering (or equivalent).
- Strong C/C++ programming skills. Solid knowledge in Data Structure and Algorithm.
- Research or working experience in compiler/assembler/linker/library/simulator.
- Knowledge of DSP architecture, profiling and optimization is a great advantage.
- Cooperative team player with good communication and teamwork skill.
- Fluent communication in both Chinese and English is an advantage.

Qualification:
- BS/MS/PhD in electronic engineering/computer science (or equivalent).
- Strong advanced low power CPU, memory controller and system bus
  architecture/micro-architecture knowledge.
- Strong C/C++ programming skills, and/or Java programming skills.
- Research or working experience in any relevant projects described above.
- Knowledge of ARM architecture, profiling and optimization is a great advantage.
- Cooperative team player with good communication and teamwork skill.
