Id/Vid ~ 1/[2*(Rs+(1/gm // rds))] -> 1/(2Rs)
where Id is the small-signal ac current
Due to constant current source on tail current and load, the red line shows the small-signal ac current flow.
The output stage mirrors the ac current out, and translates the first stage differential out into single-end,
so the final output Io=2Id, Io/Vid~1/Rs
Frankly speaking, I didn't dervive the mathematic formula in detail by hand, so I don't know what's the exact solution. What I want to point out is that feedback will reduce the impedance when you look into the terminal where source of PMOS diff pair and drain of feedback NMOS are connected. |
