Mission:  
1)      The Vice President of Product Development is directly responsible and accountable for all aspects of Research and Development, Product Design, Applications Engineering, and Engineering in support of Manufacturing, as well as supporting the Sales groups.
2)      As a member of the Executive committee, assists in strategic management of the company on issues related to all facets of the business (Sales, Operations, Engineering, and Finance) and is responsible for consistent sales and profit growth of the business.
3)      Perform tasks and duties outside of Engineering as required by the President or Board.  

Accountabilities
Rating and Comments
1 Develop new products to help grow the company.  Each year, new product ideas generated that year must have expectations of increasing Gross Margin by more than RMB10 million in the following 3 years
  
2 Provide documentation and manufacturing support, such that no orders are late due to engineering issues.

3 Hire and develop Engineering personnel.  
Ensure all members of the team are either an A or B+ (with A potential), as agreed by you and the MD.
Ensure that no vacancies remain for more than 3 months.
4 Develop 3 new patentable or trade secret ideas per year
5 Attend at least 5 days of training per year focused on helping you realize your goals, as agreed in advance by you and the MD.
6 Visit at least 10 different customers or prospects in the course of 1 year
7 Visit at least 2 other Halma companies outside of China to discuss collaborative projects
