About MPD
The Media Processing Division (MPD) in xx has a mission to be at the forefront of advanced graphics and
multimedia IP products for the consumer, wireless and automotive infotainment markets.
The Role
Reporting to the MPD Director of Business Development, and working closely with the MPD regional BD lead, the
role will be focused on securing MPD product sales and design-ins as well and regional product promotion and
representing the division in the China region.
The role will require working with MPD divisional marketing, regional sales, OEM managers, segment marketing
and pre-sales engineers (FAEs) to increase MPD sales and use in China. Specific responsibilities will include:
 Working with segment marketing, regional sales and regional FAEs to identify, prioritise and develop
strategies for key IC design-in opportunities
 Creating and executing strategies to proliferate design in and use of MPD products by licensees
 Supporting regional sales and FAEs in successfully closing MPD sales opportunities in the greater China
region
 Working closely with regional sales teams to identify key customer targets and requirements, define joint
sales plans and direct supporting activities in target accounts
 Ownership of the China short and mid-term forecast for MPD
 Building, developing and strengthening the relations with strategic OEMs, ecosystem partners and tier
one semiconductor vendors in the region
 Assist in development and execution of regional marketing activities such as regional seminars (seminars
to be owned and driven by divisional marketing)
 Working with the Director of Business Development and the Product Marketing team, initiate activities to
identify new market opportunities and develop programmes to allow MPD to successfully enter these
markets and develop future revenues
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
 great team-work, enabling a positive contribution to the MPD Business Development team
 technical sales experience
 strong leadership skills, and the ability to influence and motivate people
 a proven track record in developing new business and working to quarterly targets
 excellent presentation ability with demonstrable influencing and negotiating skills
 self-motivated with an ability to organise and prioritise multiple tasks
 a history of successful cross-cultural working
 willingness to take ownership of a problem and obtain solutions
 fluent in Mandarin as well as excellent spoken and written English language skills
In addition, it is required that the candidate be permanently located in Shanghai or Shenzhen.
Travel Requirements
This is a role that will require interaction with xx HQ in Europe and our customer base in multiple regions in
Asia. A willingness to travel frequently is required.
Education
 Undergraduate Degree with a strong technical focus e.g. Computer Science or Electrical and Electronic
Engineering
 Knowledge of graphics and/or video technologies desirable

 Good understanding of the consumer electronics market, key players and value chain highly desirable
