Ultra Wideband: Circuits, Transceivers and Systems offers a comprehensive overview of the state of the art of the physical implementation of Ultra Wideband transceivers. It addresses system level aspects, architectural design issues, circuit level implementation challenges as well as emerging challenges in the field.

The topics covered include an overview of circuit techniques for broadband applications which provides a comparative analysis of various broadband implementations for different parts of the transceiver such as amplifiers, oscillators and filters. The book also includes system proposals for Ultra Wideband which gives a historical perspective of the development of Ultra Wideband, starting with the earliest proposals to the FCC, and describing the current state of the art applications, including the OFDM and pulse based approaches to Ultra Wideband. Transceiver and synthesizer implementations for many of these systems are presented.
