On RHEL 7/ CentOS 7, etc., some people have difficulty to run $ynopsys products because of the mismatching between license file and host name. The possible reason and solution could be the followings.
Use "ifconfig" to check the name of your ethernet. If the name is like "eno16777736" instead if eth0, you have to fix it. You possibly have to go through all the following procedures.
1. edit /etc/default/grub. Search the line of GRIB_CMDLINE_LINUX, add net.ifnames=0 biodevname=0 to the end of this line (inside of the quotes); run grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg
2. Rename “eno” to “eth”. mv /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eno16777736 /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0. Make sure the MAC in this file is what you want.
3. reboot to check if this problem is fixed. If not, create or change the file of /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules:
SUBSYSTEM=="net", ACTION=="add", DRIVERS=="?*", ATTR{address}=="00:12:34:56:78:9a", ATTR{type}=="1", KERNEL=="eth*", NAME="eth0"
where 00:12:34:56:78:9a is the mac address in your license file.
If you can NOT following my words, you probably are not qualified to use $ynopsys products. |
