The requisition is regarding a customer-facing technical sales support role in the Server Business Unit. This individual will be responsible for pre-sales engineering support to assigned server customers. Responsibilities will include pre-sales technical support, product sampling and evaluation support, issue resolution, and new opportunity capture.  
  
The applicant must be a team player with a commitment to meeting deadlines and an aptitude to thrive in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment. The position is based in our Beijing office. Some travel (25% or more) is expected.  
  
Job Responsibilities:
o Work closely with Sales to provide pre-sales technical support or PoC demo’s
o Understand customer h/w and s/w requirements, configurations, applications and architect solutions accordingly
o Be an evangelist to customers for new company technologies/products, leading the charge for customer wins and adoption
o Prepare and configure reference platforms for customer evaluation, and support successful customer testing/benchmarking with the platform
o Serve as the primary pre-sales technical contact for customer business and technical decision makers, fostering relationships and driving issues to closure
o Be a strong advocate for the customer internally
o Maintain awareness of, and provide status reports on, customer status and key issues
o Drive for highest levels of customer engagement and satisfaction
  
Job Requirements:
o 8+ years of experience in the computing industry, at the OEM, ODM, or technology provider level
o 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical support or technical sales role, involving hands-on hardware usage
o Outstanding written and oral communication skills
o Strong interpersonal skills
o Results driven
o BS, or higher, in Engineering (Computer or Electrical) strongly preferred
