大神 我和我同学按照你说的方法 成功在ubantu14.04上安装了 IC616！ 非常感谢你的指导帮助！现在有个问题想要请教。我参照你的帖子申请了cadence的帐号 也获得了许可 现在可以按照你的方法下载软件 但是我之前一直用的是学校服务器的ic5141 然后现在用616 很多操作界面都找不到了 我到官网上找user guide 找了很久 没找到 我之前隐约看见哪个帖子说 凡是有cadence帐号的 都可以去官网下载最新的user guide     大神你能不能给我指点一下在哪里。。。。因为我看你安装的时候 都用了好像是官方的关于安装的user guide。。。。毕竟是这个专业的。。。在eetop上搜到的 user guide   要不就很老的 要不就不全。。。。我是这个专业的。。希望能得到系统性的训练。。。。恳请大神指点 再次感谢大神你的教程 如楼上是所说 为中国IC 做了大贡献

Oh, again!  Why do you start up license server???  I've reiterated many times once all license FEATUREs are set to uncounted (that's unlimited use!!!) in the FEATURE line, you NEVER ever need to start up Flexlm license server!!!  And you have to remove SERVER and DAEMON lines from the license.dat file, that is, the license.dat here is a pure FEATURE file without any other lines!  That's the way Flexlm server/license runs.

In the How-to on first page is mentioned that license server is set to <port>@<host>, requiring lmgrd daemon to be started. Anyway thanks for the information I will try without lmgrd.

楼主你好，我patch之后出现5个error，启动virtuoso时出现host name  does not support in cadence，我更改了host name
，在terminal中查hostname也是更改之后的，但是还是不行，怎么解？

   楼主你好，本人小白，安装好之后，发现configure的状态是failed。对于“需要注意的是在configure设置各个Cadence软件（IC,MMSIM,Assura,...）阶段时你需要将所有Cadence软件的oa指向IC内的oa目录，比如说/opt/cadence/IC616/oa_v22.43.018”该如何手动操作？谢谢楼主！

    重新启动InstallScape，在Configure releases下重新对没有经过configure的工具再进行configure。在这个configure过程中，有些工具，比如Assura、EDI、EXT、MMSIM、PVS等等都要进行OA路径设置，这时就是将这些都手工输入指向IC616内的oa路径的时候。你可以参考我的这个教程中的图示：http://bbs.eetop.cn/thread-457073-1-1.html

    你大概从来不查看一下各个Cadence工具安装后的目录吧？每个工具的目录中都有一个doc目录，这就是各个工具的User Guides所在的地方，有html的，也有PDF的。另外，你还可以或者说要养成习惯经常使用软件运行时上面的Help，Cadence的Help可以说是业界最全面的，可以在上面进行搜索，上面也有PDF。其实这个Help就是指向那些doc目录的。

    If you read my shell script carefully, you can NOT find any command to start up Cadence License Server Daemon! The CDS_LIC_FILE is a license file as the variable name already tells you, it's irrelevant to license server start-up.  You can set it up either to port@hostname or an absolute path to the license.dat.

    不清楚你在patch时的情形如何，照理应该不会有error的。设置CDS_LIC_FILE=<IC616_install_dir>/share/license/license.dat再启动试试（即将原来CDS_LIC_FILE=port@hostname改成license.dat的绝对路径）。若按照我正文中的步骤做，不应该会有什么大错误的。
