RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.      Initial assistance
· The EHS+ Network Manager for China will work with partner organizations to develop detailed business plans, implementation strategies and otherwise help support new Center sponsors in the establishment of new EHS+ Centers based on existing Center experience.
   2.     Ongoing support
· The EHS+ Network Manager for China will ensure that Network members receive assistance in dealing with operational problems, making regular visits to gauge organizational health and making improvements accordingly.
· They will facilitate ongoing and efficient communication between the EHS+ Network Office and EHS+ Centers, using electronic channels, telephone and newsletters, marshaling internal resources accordingly.
· They will convene regular meetings between Center Leadership to exchange ideas on developments of national interest, facilitate cooperation amongst EHS+ Centers, and the exchange of ideas on developments within the network including strategies for the year ahead.
· Where beneficial, they will help negotiate Network-wide suppliers for Centers, like EHS trainers, consultants, or similar resource providers through partners like WRI, NRDC, SAC, ZDHC – for coursework relating to GHG, chemical management, energy efficiency, water savings, etc.
3.      Marketing Support
· The EHS+ Network Manager for China will monitor developments in the marketplace and report to all members of the Network and develop a range of promotional programs that can be customized by the EHS+ Center for use in their local/regional promotional drives.
· They will lead in joint marketing and brand building efforts on behalf of the China EHS+ Network, conducting suitable promotional and advertising drives, conceptualized and implemented in close cooperation with all members of the network or their authorized representatives.
· Likewise, they will represent the Network to university officials, external government officials, funding sources, partners, beneficiaries, intermediary channels and at conferences and other outreach opportunities as required.
4.      Environment, Health and Safety Programming and Development
· The EHS+ Network Manager for China will oversee internal and external efforts to collect data from Network partners as part of their quality assurance design and procedure.
· They will coordinate the networks overall M&E evaluation work (including the collation and analysis of data) as an additional central service to the Centers.
5.      Network Innovation
· The EHS+ Network Manager for China will play an integral role, alongside the EHS+ Network Director, in recommending and developing improvements to the EHS+ Network affiliate strategy.
· They will help improve and expand energy and carbon management curriculum.
· They will help push on the present EHS certification effort, including requirement of training sessions for certification
· They will develop the capacity of the existing EHS+ Centers to deliver trainings in Chengdu by early 2015 and in Beijing by mid-2015.
· They will help to explore and assess the feasibility of various distance-learning options.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A master’s degree in Business Administration or similar, preferably with undergraduate degree in industrial engineering, from a reputed international university.
10+ years of experience in a management consulting and managerial role preferably in a management consulting or manufacturing company. EHS related management consulting experience would be a plus.
Program monitoring, report writing, and identifying and procuring technical assistance would be preferred.  
Technical understanding of factory supply-chains would be a plus.  
Experience designing and implementing new systems and processes would be preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills and mentoring skills to work effectively with partners/clients, including public speaking and presentation skills.
Strong English skills (spoken and written) and fluency in Mandarin required.
