Job Description Summary:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Staff Accounting professional to manage all aspects of general accounting, compliance and local tax matters and other offshore subsidiaries
Perform day to day accounting responsibilities
· Prepare funding requirements for China office
· Manage the following activities for the parent company
o Accounts payable process – record approved vendor invoices for local office and parent company, match invoices against purchase orders
o Accounts receivable cycle – issue and record customer invoices, AR collections, reconcile and prepare customer rebates for payment
o Generate selected purchase orders
· Manage all banking related activities for the local office
Month-End/Year End Activities and Reporting
· Prepare monthly financial statements (Trial Balance, P&L, Balance Sheet) for all offshore entities
· Lead consolidation effort for all offshore entities: China, Taiwan-Australia, and Russia
· Reconcile selected general ledger accounts: inventory, cost of goods sold, revenue, prepaid, fixed assets, expense accruals, customer rebates
· Assist in preparation of reports, forecast, and budgets and other ad-hoc projects (i.e. assist in the implementation of new financial system)
· Assist in annual financial statement audits
Controls and Procedures
· Assist in the development of corporate business processes
· Lead effort to design, document, and maintain adequate internal controls for selected transaction cycles, including Sarbanes-Oxley control documentation
· Drive change and continuous process improvement within the Accounting department and elsewhere in the company
Compliance
· Oversee monthly tax filings, submission of annual tax reporting and payments to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations
· Keep up to date with the latest Tax Regulation and identify the issues relating to Tax and actively work with the consulting service provider to resolve the issues
Requirements
· University degree in accounting or equivalent; at least 5 years of relevant working experience in MNC, ACCA or CPA certifications
· Familiar with: (1) statutory reporting requirements and the latest tax regulations in China, (2) internal control requirements, (3) Sarbanes-Oxley Act and US GAAP
· Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word). Experience with any ERP system
· Good analytical and problem solving skills
· Good command of English and Mandarin both verbal and written
· Detail oriented
