Responsibilities ：
1.        Regional Director - Tax will interact with business units, Finance, Treasury, Legal, etc. to represent tax in critical business decisions.  This person will educate key business units on the tax issues relevant to operations and planned transactions.
2.        This person will interface closely with corporate and business unit leaders to develop and implement strategies, which minimize tax liability through sound and informed application of tax laws and regulations, aligned with the company's operating and strategic plans.
3.        They will assist the VP - Taxes in: 1) creating and monitoring tax strategies, tax policies, evaluating changes in tax legislation or treatment of items within ARRIS jurisdictions and overall tax risk mitigation, 2) ensuring business unit leaders understand the value tax strategies bring to the company and support the execution of the plan, 3) developing and implement global tax planning strategies that are defensible, minimize cash taxes, and are in line with company goals, 4) ensuring the proper reflection of tax planning transactions from a financial reporting and tax return compliance perspective.  
4.        This person will gain an understanding of all key constituents (internal and external) involved in driving critical tax initiatives and cultivate these relationships.
5.        They will be willing to recommend and implement changes in corporate structure, policies, operations and business practices in order to reduce taxes.
6.        They will assist in the profession development of other tax department personnel through mentoring, assignment of increased responsibilities and adherence to department's performance standards and goals.
7.        This person will direct the Planning and/or Filing of Taxes, Accounting, Research, Compliance, Audit Defense, and Appeal as needed to meet the goals of the Department.
8.        They will participate on cross-functional teams as a subject-matter expert

Requirement
1.       10+ years of corporate tax experience, preferably with several focused on international taxation.  We may invest by training and teaching international tax to high quality candidates with the appropriate corporate or partnership tax experience.
2.        They will have experience working and with and directing the activities of personnel from large accounting firms, law firms, or other corporate tax departments of a multinational company.
3.        Excellent research skills and strong written and verbal communications skills are required.
4.        Excellent project management and presentation skills are required.
5.        Prior supervisory experience is required.
6.        Bachelor's in Accounting, Masters in Taxation, Masters in Accounting, or JD/LLM (with undergrad in business related field) required.  CPA, or equivalent, is preferred.
7.        Some travel will be required.
