Application engineer

Description:

As Application Engineer in ESG Shanghai, you will be responsible for providing technical supports to Micron’s customers. You will be responsible for interpreting customers’ applications to memory usage model and internal evaluation methodology. You will be responsible for exploring application opportunities for BOM cost reduction or performance optimization. You will be responsible to recommend product optimization or new features based on customers' application analysis.

Job description

1.
Provides technical expertise and value to customers. Assignments include interpretations of designs, applications, and service information.

2.
Typically interacts with sales team, manufacturing, and marketing personnel.

3.
Gathers information concerning the capabilities of company products.

4.
Typically is required to make or assist in technical presentations, demonstrations, and customer training.

5.
May work through all phases of customer interaction including customer analysis, design implementation and product manufacturing.

6.
Represents customers' interests at technical meetings within the company.

7.
Exploring Micron’s memory opportunities based on different segments, promoting Micron’s total memory solutions and developing the first prototype based on customers’ needs.

8.
Educating, influencing and driving ESG memory solutions, strategies, and value proposition with ESG development team and Marketing personal; stimulate customer awareness through technical supporting, trainings and technical seminars.

Requirement

1.
EE bachelor or master degree.

2.
Excellent communication & collaboration skills.

3.
Case proved structured problem solving skills.

4.
Around 3 year’s telecommunication/ networking system development experience, include flash driver, BSP development.

5.
Able to establish telecom development environment from scratch.

6.
Familiar with Flash and memory system in telecommunication/networking.

7.
Certain knowledge about Vxworks and TFFS file system, specifically operation to flash.

8.
Understand memory requirement and future trend for telecommunication.

9.
Willingness of frequent travelling.
