Roles & Responsibilities
Major Responsibilities:
Project responsibility:
Design, implement, verify the RF part, support production and maintain the product, from concept study until the product is phased out.See below.
1.Concept study phase
All technical options are selected.The technology studies will select possible solutions which fulfil the projects requirement in terms of performance, cost, size and availability.
2.Design phase
Select one solution from the concept study.Verify new components and give technology approvals.Design and produce production documents.
3.Type approval phase
Solve type approval issues and support the type approval during this phase.
4.Volume production phase
Support the production and solve yield issues.
5.Maintenance phase
Support operator and customer issues.Support field return rate issues.
6.Projects role
Be able to take the design leader role in a project, if requested.

Line responsibility:
1.Mentor for engineers and trainees.Provides coaching and actively transfer knowledge within team.
2.Carry out technology studies: Analyse and compare chipset from different vendors.Compare cost, size and performance.
3.Produce patent proposals when it is feasible.
4.Implement competitor analysis: Analyse the technology, function, cost and performance in other mobiles.
5.Support the line with process work, which will improve the quality of mobiles, shorter the design time and decrease the cost of phones.
6.Other task: Be able to take other tasks which the manager would like to be done.

Qualification
Minimum position requirements:
- Ph doctor degree, with specialization in radio / analogue technology.The minimum requirements are total 3 years experience in relative professional experience, but of them should 1 year be as RF engineer in a mobile phone company.
or
- Master of science degree, with specialization in radio / analogue technology.The minimum requirements are total 4 years experience in relative professional experience, but of them should 2 year be as RF engineer in a mobile phone company
or
- Bachelor degree, with specialization in radio / analogue technology field.The minimum requirements are total 4 years of experience in relative professional experience, but of them should 3 year be as RF engineer in a mobile phone company.
- Knowledge of RF technologies such as GSM/GPRS/EDGE, UMTS, Bluetooth, GPS, W-LAN.
- Experience with design tools such as ADS, Mentor Graphics, MathCAD or MATLAB.
- Hands-on experience performing S-parameter, power, spectrum measurements and etc.
- Strong oral and written English communication skills.
- Knowledge of antenna, EMC/EMI, and PCB design is desirable
