Default compile_ultra Optimizations:
■Performs three levels of optimization:
• Architectural level or high level synthesis
• Logic level or GTECH optimization
• Gate-level or mapping optimization
■ Tries to minimize area while meeting timing
(and other) constraints1

hood placement and routing estimation

By default, compile ultra uses a max_area constraint of zero. The area constraint always
has the lowest priority during optimization, compared to timing, design rule or power constraints. If the -timing^high^ef f ort_script option is not used with c om p ile _ u ltra ,_ th e n areafocused optimizations7which were enabled with -area_high ef f ort_script prior to version
2010.03, are now automatically invoked. This does not increase The priority of timing over other
