 hubert kaeslin is head of the Microelectronics Design Center at the ETH Z¨urich, where he
 is also a lecturer in the Department of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering. He was
 awarded his Ph.D. in 1985 from the ETH and has 20 years’ experience teaching VLSI to students
 and professionals.
