Job Function: We are seeking a highly motivated, independent individual with a broad knowledge of semiconductor packaging and assembly. Candidate must have analytical and problem solving skills with strong English communication skills and presentation capabilities. He/she must also have the ability to lead small cross-functional teams to apply good problem solving methods. Candidate must be able to interface/communicate with cross-functional (and cross-cultural) teams internally and with Asian assembly and test subcontractors. Other duties include driving disposition of non-conforming material with appropriate containment actions and corrective actions, driving subcontractor quality initiatives and improvement efforts, monitoring key performance metrics, auditing assembly & test production lines, monitoring PCN activities, supporting resolution of production issues.

Skill/Experience: Minimum 7 years experience as an engineer working in the integrated circuit industry. Experience with assembly and test subcontractor management including addressing quality issues and process improvement initiatives. Working knowledge of key IC assembly and test processes with strong problem solving skills. Understanding of production qualification methodologies. Knowledge of statistical tools (i.e. SPC, FMEA, and Gauge R&R, or JMP).

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Mechanical/Industrial or related engineering discipline. Industry recognized certification such as Certified Quality Engineer a plus.
