Software installation======================================================================This workshop needs the following tool(s) to be installed:- IC Compiler 2013.03-SP2- IC Validator 2013.06-SP2- Lynx 2013.03-SP2To download the required software release, you have to accessthe Solvnet Release Library:1. Navigate your browser to http://solvnet.synopsys.com2. Log in using your solvnet id and password If you are not registered, follow the instructions on this page to sign up for solvnet3. Select "Downloads" from the main navigation4. Select the correct tool(s) from the list of software, then the correct release5. Follow the instructions to download and install the software on your workstation**********************************************************************2. Lab database Installation======================================================================Execute the following command to unpack the archive: unix$ gtar xzf ces_ic_compiler_1_2013.03-sp2.tar.gzNote: Archives were created using GNU tar.Multiple account installation:Since the lab directory structure may contain symbolic links that should be preserved instead of being expanded, it is strongly recommended that you untar the file directly into each account.Repeat the following for every user account:unix$ cd /path/to/user/account1unix$ gtar xzf /path/to/ces_ic_compiler_1_2013.03-sp2.tar.gz**********************************************************************3. Lab database configuration and testing======================================================================Configuration==============================The "setup.sh" file is provided for your convenience.Please modify it appropriately to match your local environment. source the modified setup.sh file prior to testing and running the labs.Testing==============================To verify that the lab files are complete, and test for the correctversions of the software, it is recommended that you run the suppliedtest script (the current directory has to be the "IC_Compiler_2012.06-SP3" directory): unix$ ./.testscriptThis will run a series of tests to verify that all files exist, and thatthe tools can be invoked.If everything is ok, you should see output similar to:------------------------------------------------------------ ****************************************************** Running the Synopsys Workshop Installation Test Script Course Name: IC Compiler 1 Course Version: 2013.03-SP2 Last Update: 2013-10-28 ****************************************************** Running Test 1 - installation integrity check Running Test 2 - testing executables Skipping Test 3 - GUI Installation Test PASSED for IC Compiler 1 Course------------------------------------------------------------Note:By default, the GUI test is skipped.If you want to test the GUI, add the "-gui" option: unix$ ./.testscript -guiMake sure that you have the DISPLAY environment variable setcorrectly, otherwise the test will fail.
