the input voltage offset of the latch is important because it will limit the resolution of the comparator. The input resolution range is the output swing divided by the gain of the latch in transition. typically , the gain is around 50-100....
yes i think i got too old version. it is definite that i given unlimited time, tha gain of a latch can be unlimited as well. so i am suspect if u understand the definition of "gain" here. is it possible that it means the gain of single inverter?
