Analog on Top (AoT) Mixed Signal Design Flow Using Virtuoso Analog and Innovus Digital Platforms: Rapid Adoption Kit (RAK)
There are two methodologies used for implementing Mixed Signal designs. Analog on Top (AOT) refers to the design flow where the top level of the design is represented as a schematic. In the AOT methodology, Virtuoso is typically the environment where the entire top level design is assembled. Digital on Top (DOT) refers to the design flow where the top level of the design is represented as a Verilog netlist. In the DOT methodology, Innovus is typically the environment used for assembling the entire top level design. This tutorial is focused on the AOT flow with Virtuoso as the platform for the top-level design captured in the form of a schematic.
