VLSI II comprises mostly practical labs plus a design review for students who have elected to design a microchip.
For details on design reviews, please consult http://eda.ee.ethz.ch/index.php/Design_review. Practical
exercises are the sole opportunity to gain hands-on experience with numerous concepts introduced in the lectures.
All students are expected to attend. This is particularly true for those who have elected to do a chip design project
as the know-how obtained, there is essential for them to successfully complete their design
