Synopsys Front-end Application Engineer

Location: Shanghai

Job Responsibilities:

Front-end Application Engineer (AE) isexpected to support the sale and adoption of Synopsys products to helpcustomers achieve tangible and lasting performance improvements in the cost,quality, and development time for projects.

Front-end AEs support Synopsys productsincluding synthesis, STA, DFT, formal verification and low power solutions. Inaddition, they are expected to articulate design methodologies involvingSynopsys tools and be elevator-talk proficient in the full Synopsys toolportfolio.

Their sales support roles include productdemonstrations, evaluations, competitive benchmarking and account planning;

Customer support roles include training,problem resolution, service delivery and technical account management.

Front-end AEs need to provide long termon-site support for customer. Also provide technical feedback to Synopsysproduct development teams pertaining to critical issues and recommendedenhancements. Business travel will be required for this position.

Requirements:

MSEE, or equivalent required with 3+ years ofexperience, or BSEE or equivalent with 5+ years of experience.

Design experiences should include SoC designusing verilog/Vhdl, physical aware synthesis, DFT, STA and timing ECO.

Experiences in other SoC design activitiessuch as low power design, formal verification and physical design are stronglydesired.

Excellent verbal and writtenpresentation/communication skills are mandatory.

Customer sensitivity, the ability to multiplexmany issues & set priorities and have a helpful/caring attitude towardscustomers, and the desire to help customers exploit new technologies areessential for success in the position.
