二进制CDR电路中，CP与V/I转换器的区别

Jri.Lee的论文 Analysis and Modeling of Bang-Bang Clock and Data Recovery Circuits 中有这样一句话：
“BBPDs typically provide so much gain as to avoid the use of charge pumps, thus obviating the need for amplification of very short pulses.”
这句话作何理解？也即 ：BBPD的高增益，与CP或者V/I转换器的使用有何关系？

这个问题是个好问题。
CP的增益是不是可以理解成只与pulse的宽度有关，这样利于获得较大的等效PD增益。
而V2I的增益与pulse的宽度和rising，falling时间有关，也就是平均电压有关，这样不利于得到较大的增益。
