Hardware and software developers for smart environmental sensor network
电子工程师
We are looking for 1-2 skilled people to participate in a project to develop an innovative smart environmental sensor network. These advertised positions can focus on one or more of the following general areas:

Analog electronics and PCB board design, power supply design, and electrical Design For Manufacture (DFM). Job includes designing high-precision, low power instrumentation to interface with gas concentration sensors; optimizing switching power supply designs; and optimizing electronic designs for maximum long-term reliability & efficient manufacture. Some experience in antenna and RF front-end design is also a plus.

Software development for embedded systems. Proficiency in C is required; some code may also be in AVR assembly. Job includes writing software in multiple layers from hardware-level interfaces up to application task management & sensor data processing, developing mesh networking protocols & security, and optimizing code for maximum efficiency and low-power operation.

Selected person will join a team at the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS/IAP,中科院大气物理所) and the University of Maryland (美国马里兰大学), supervised by Professor Ning Zeng (曾宁,美国马里兰大学教授,国家千人计划专家). Depending on the background, you can become either a graduate student, postdoctoral researcher, or research scientist at CAS/IAP, or an employee at a Chinese high tech company, or stay with your current institute but work as a collaborator. You will also have the possibility of spending time at the University of Maryland as a visiting scientist.
