​osition Overview The project manager will be responsible for directing, coordinating and providing periodic updates on new product development projects and major cost reduction projects from concept to fully released product to manufacturing. This will include working with various groups within Fairchild to define the objectives and requirements of the projects, timelines with deliverables, costs and resources needed to successfully complete the project. Performance Objectives The successful candidate will: Responsible for overall management of the project and the various subgroups to ensure the project is completed on time, to budget, and as defined by project requirements. Responsible for communication of project status to management and team members, for example in progress reports, stage-gate review meetings, and schedule updates. Work with a team to define and implement programs to schedule, prioritize and manage resources for mask and process design, engineering development, wafer fab, assembly, test, reliability and characterization at both internal and external sites. Minimal travel is expected.
Skills and Experience Required BSEE/ MSEE and 5+ years of experience in product engineering; Project Management Institute (PMI) PMP Certification a plus. Leadership traits: driver, proactive, forward looking, self-confident, intuitive, problem solver, team orientation. Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English language with experience coordinating or leading a multi-functional global team. Project management skills: Demonstrable knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques and tools. Experience in managing projects from start to completion (analyze a project structure compliant to internal specs and project scope, identify the right resources, lead the execution of the project). Ability to develop project budgets and projections and ability to analyze complex problems, interpret operational needs, and develop integrated, creative solutions. Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals and skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Group facilitation, mediation, and conflict resolution skills and strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively in a team environment. Attention to detail in project documentation and archive of required deliverables Software skills: Microsoft Office Suite of Applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) ; Microsoft Project
