职位:Senior Application Engineer, PLS--高级应用工程师
Job description
Your Responsibilities:
1. Application test definition. In collaboration with BL colleagues determine appropriate test schedules & capabilities that support the development roadmap.
2. Development support. Provide timely & concise reporting to the development team on the agreed application tests at each stage of the product release process.
3. Technical Marketing. Convert system, product & application knowledge into hardware, software & publications that enable successful promotion of our products.
4. Application expertise. Compile knowledge & insight gained through customer contacts, lab work & competitor benchmarking to propose new application ideas that lead to either improved performance, lower cost or greater ease-of-use for our customers.
5. System Appreciation. Demonstrate an appreciation of device partitioning in the use of PLS products that leads to both successful design-in of our existing products and future roadmap proposals.
6. Partner collaboration. Show good working with all associated NXP activities that involve PLS, develop relationships with related organizations that helps the market position for PLS.
7. Customer Support. Provide direct support to specified customer projects and training to our colleagues in the regional sales & marketing teams.
Your Profile:
1. background
o Formal academic qualification in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
o Desire to build a technical career in mixed-signal electronics
o Fluent spoken & written English
o Enthusiastic team worker & good communicator
o Structured approach to electronic product evaluation
o Flexible attitude to fit working in a change environment
2. Technical Scope
o Familiarity with the various control schemes used in SMPS design
o Ability to perform lab characterisation & problem solving in power circuits
o Use of simulation tools to enable good power circuit design
o PCB layout skills to optimise power density, thermal & EMC performance
o Appreciation of the fundamental load characteristics in power circuits and the effect they have on the control scheme employed
o Experience in taking power designs to high volume production
o Appreciation of current practices & developments in the world of magnetics & passive components
o Use of statistical engineering techniques used in power circuit design & problem solving
o Comprehensive understanding & application of Lighting application design theory
o Familiarity in use of design simulation tools
o Well-established problem solving skills in Lighting applications
3. Career Development
Within this role the engineer will be exposed to 2 distinct career paths to establish expertise in the field of mixed-signal electronics. The career paths are in technical problem solving or project/people management. Depending on business need and career aspiration the engineer can work to develop a competence in either direction. Specific training and development opportunities will be made available as agreed with the Application Manager. |
