World’s leading manufacturer of manual and automated semiconductor programming systems, is seeking candidates for the position of China Regional Sales Manager.
The China Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be responsible for company’s Sales activity in the Greater China region, including China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, and will be located in the offices of
company’s Electronics Shanghai. The RSM will manage company’s distributors and will have front-line responsibility for driving business through sales channels or directly with customers. The RSM will maintain a close working relationship with company’s Electronics Shanghai to maximize the company’s effectiveness in the region. He/she will report to and coordinate sales activity through Director of Sales based at company’s headquarters in Redmond, WA, USA.
Specific job duties
Sales Leadership
 Establishes and attains sales goals
 Maintains and grows customer base profitably
 Visits customers and channels routinely to provide leadership on specific business opportunities
 Builds direct relationships with key accounts
Sales Channel Management
 Trains, develops, motivates, retains, and recruits sales channels
 Act as the focal point for communication between company’s and China distributors
 Provides regular forecasts and monitors wins and losses
Teamwork and Account Management
 Works closely with company’s China to maximize sales and effectively use resources in Asia
 Works closely with other RSM in all regions to coordinate global account activities
 Is available for teleconferencing across different time zones
Programs
 Develops sales programs to achieve sales goals
 Tracks the competitive environment and helps identify new business opportunities
 Develops industry alliances and joint programs
Primary Goals and Measures
 Attainment of sales targets and MBOs
 Country sales growth (revenue and number of new customers)
 Channel mindshare/commitment
 Sales of automated systems to new accounts
Requirements: Skills, Knowledge, and Education
The right candidate will have:
 A strong personal presence, a self-starter with ability to take initiative and command respect
 Fluent communication ability in both Chinese and English is required
 Relevant experience in sales channel management in China -- ability to build a highly effective sales team, including training, mentoring, and recruiting of new sales channels
 Good knowledge of electronics manufacturing, especially local Chinese OEM or CM/EMS
 Must have experience in capital equipment sales
 A degree in engineering or business administration, or equivalent experience required
 Ability to travel locally and internationally >50%
