Responsibilities
The Financial Accountant is primarily responsible for overall accounting and reporting to fully meet group requirements, as well as the local statutory requirements for China, which currently employs 130 staff members in three offices. Besides the regular periodical duties, the Financial Accountant is expected to play a key role in maintaining a satisfactory level of internal controls within the local organization. The Financial Accountant will supervise an Assistant Financial Accountant whose main duties are accounts payable and expense reimbursement. As the position will need to lead a small but solid Finance team in the country, it will require a highly motivated person with flexibility to cover a wide range of activities from data entry to analysis work at a dynamic and fast growing company in the semiconductor industry.

Job Duties
-          Journal entry
-          Maintain accounts under both IFRS and PRC GAAP
-          Supervise an assistance financial accountant
-          Monthly closing, including preparation of balance sheet schedules and reconciliations
-          Monthly reporting to UK HQ
-          Monthly analytics on operating expenses
-          Fixed assets management
-          Purchase requisition control
-          Invoice delivery to local customers
-          Sales and customer interaction to include follow up on overdue invoices
-          Collection of withholding tax certificates from local customers
-          Payroll administration with assistance of FESCO
-          Assist HR in operations related to stock based compensation
-          Local regulatory/statutory reporting (monthly, yearly)
-          Annual statutory audit coordination
-          Annual corporation tax filing
-          Provision of regular feedback on expenditure to local management
-          Assist local management in budgeting
-          Liaise with external professionals on any accounting and tax related issues
-          Improve accounting processes and procedures under direction from the global Finance team
-          Provide guidance of accounting policy to local staff

-          Enthusiastic to make changes to get things right
Experience
-          Minimum 3 years of experience in financial accounting
-          Experience in SAP R/3 system desirable
-          Strong Excel skills are a must
-          A history of successful cross-cultural working
Education & Qualifications
-          A university degree or equivalent
-          Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles
-          Excellent Chinese language skills and fluent in English (both verbal and written)
