Job Title: HDD Read Channel Architect

Job Description

- We are looking for an engineer with a track record of excellent performance to join our read channel architecture team. In this role you would be part of a dedicated team developing LSI's leading hard disk drive asic technology.

- This job spans the invention process from the conception of a new idea, through reduction to practice in software, close collaboration with design teams and verification of the design through to validation of performance through bench testing. In your role you will with work closely with Design and Verification teams in Shanghai and with the RC Architecture team in the United States.

- Our core requirements are a deep knowledge of digital communications technology; familiarity with detection and coding for magnetic recording; some experience implementing signal processing and detection algorithms in software and good programming skills in C/C++ and scripting languages. Experience with design verification and bench testing would both be very desirable.

Requirements/Qualifications (Education)

- PhD/Master in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Deep knowledge of the principles of digital communications. Familiarity with signal processing and programming

Job Title: Firmware Engineer -Shanghai

Job Description

- Must demonstrate expertise in design and implementation of event-driven, real time firmware solutions using C/C++ programming

- Must be able to work with ASIC and software engineers in a collaborative environment

- Quick learner with high level of self-motivation and dedication, with ability to deliver high quality products on time

- Must have an excellent computer science background and demonstrated strength in designing efficient embedded firmware for storage or networking products

- Firmware/System debug skills utilizing debugger, protocol analyzer is required

Job Title: Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Validation Architecture-Shanghai

Job Description:

During project startup, analyze customer and firmware requirement, design overall validation architecture and test flow based on the requirement and design document.

Lead the test development and system validation of significant functional blocks, ensuring minimal test escapes after qualification

Develop and enhance automation infrastructure to support regression tests. (Not must, but a strong plus)

Be responsible for firmware functionality, performance, stress, reliability tests.

Define systematic test flow, collect and analyze test result, implement test automation, increase test efficiency and quality.

Work with team members to design, execute, and optimize test flow, improve test coverage.

Job Description:

As a member of the Read Channel team, candidate must be willing to work as an extended member of the design team. Duties will include functional verification of Storage read channel mixed-signal IP. Candidate will be expected to contribute to design and development of System verilog based verification environment and will be responsible for verification closure of block/chip/system level functions for mixed signal based IP. Experience with System Verilog and functional coverage methodologies are required. Must be willing to follow a disciplined verification methodology and to work closely with a multi-location, international design team. Excellent teamwork and communication skills are required.

Requirements/Qualifications (Education) :

BSEE with 3-5+ years of design and/or verification experience required, MSEE preferred.

Job Description:

LSI's Storage Peripherals Division is seeking an experienced verification design engineer to join the pre-amplifier design team. Preamp design team members define, create, modify and verify high-speed custom integrated circuits for hard disk drive (HDD) and tape recording products using leading edge CMOS and BiCMOS technologies

- Work with a Preamp Development team to create verilog testbench components and simulation environment.

- Create product test plans, test cases and perform simulation and debug of Storage Preamp mixed-signal devices.

- Must be experienced with Verilog and Verilog AMS and knowledgeable with functional coverage methodologies.

- Ability to follow a disciplined verification methodology and work closely with a multi-location, international design team.

- Excellent teamwork and communication skills are required.

Requirements/Qualifications (Education):

- Preferred degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.

Product Engineering Manager. Hand-on experienced leader to drive improved performance and execution across all LSI silicon products. Willing to work with extended international teams across multiple time-zones and business units supporting product design, marketing, sales, operations, quality and finance through interactions during product development and high volume manufacturing. Good English skills are required. A BS in EE is preferred with at least 5 years of hands on product engineering experience. A background in silicon wafer process or test development is also a bonus. Job Title: Test Operation Engineer-Shanghai

Job Descriptions:

To support new product introduction into subcontractors and facilitate high volume ramp
- Manage execution deliverables covering test programs and all the essential test hardware and co-work with supply chain management to meet/exceed on time deployment at subcontractors
- Drive KPIs at subcontractors to meet/exceed LSI performance metrics expectations

Job Title: WebCloud Account Sales-Shanghai

Job Description:

- This Account manager role is responsible for LSI’s storage business (ASD/RSD) for tier-1 WebCloud customers in North or East China region. It required knowledge and expertise in SSD/Flash, SAS/SATA, RAID, x86 Server, storage, database, distributed application areas for selling LSI’s Flash and SAS storage solution to those tier-1 WebCloud customers like Tencent, Alibaba and Baidu. This role also required strong background and understanding in MDC (Mega Data center) server storage architecture, the key needs and trends in storage area for MDC, and also how to apply flash technologies into MDC to accelerate the storage performance. For all assigned customers and projects, this role is responsible for identifying new business opportunity, arrange the pre-sale supports, close the design win, drive the customer satisfactory, manage the customer relationship and eventually drive and grow the overall LSI sales revenue from the account. This role also needs to define sales plan, provide regular business updates/design win updates and revenue forecast, work with LSI product team and all functional team, to take the lead and be accountable in archiving design win target and sale revenue quota. This role required strong English communication capability, in both written and speak, to support the daily work with support team and product team. Other than to drive the direct sale with tier-1 WebCloud customers, this account manager role also need to build up the relationship and engagement model, to influence customer’s preference in storage technologies, partner with LSI’s OEMs to grow the business size, identify new business opportunity for LSI’s Flash/SAS storage solution
