1.Senior Multimedia Software Engineer
The position is for senior software engineer for the embedded multimedia development at Marvell Shanghai Site. Marvell is developing new generation application and communication processors with rich multimedia feature support both for SW and HW-based solution. He/she will join the company's effort in delivering the DSP/Multimedia libraries required to create software product for the next generation application and communication processors, and participate in developing, optimizing and/or porting the multimedia codecs, framework and software solutions.
The candidate is expected to have below extra qualifications:
l Excellent algorithm background about common DSP and multimedia functions/applications
l Solid knowledge/experience on the C/C++ and Assembly programming languages
l Excellent understanding of the embedded system architecture, familiar with the embedded OS, such as WinCE/WinMobile, Linux, Nucleus RTOS.
l Excellent hands-on skill on software programming, optimization, testing and debugging
l Knowledge/Experience in the following area will be a plus:
n Multimedia framework, such as DirectShow, GStreamer, OpenMAX, Android/OpenCORE etc;
n Low bit-rate audio codec experience such as AAC LC/LTP, HE-AAC, WMA, psychoacoustic model, perceptual audio coding technology;
n Video codec such as MPEG2, MPEG4, H.263, H.264, WMV, VC-1, On2, RealVideo, AVS;
n Speech codec such as G.723, G.729, G.711, GSM-AMR WB, GSM-AMR NB, QCELP, iLBC;
n Image codec such as PNG, GIF, JPEG, JPEG2000, HD-Photo, DNG, TIFF;
l Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in both English and Chinese;
l Excellent teamwork
l MSEE/CS or BSEE/CS with 3+ years of relevant working experience
2. Senior Software Engineer in Test
Job Description:
In the position, the candidate will be responsible for creating the test suite/cases, test tools, and automation system to assure the quality of software platforms, which cover components from low level boot-loader, device driver, OS, middleware (multimedia and graphics), and up to high level application framework (like Android), and Marvell proprietary compiler/debugger/performance tools.
His/her responsibilities will include but not be limited to
- Identify the functionality, stability, performance and power quality criteria for the whole system or individual components.
- Design and lead junior engineers to develop test suites to reach defined test coverage and debugging requirement.
- Design and lead junior engineers to develop test automation systems.
- Assist team manager for project management activities.
The candidate must possess a Bachelor/Master of Science degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science with 2+ year relevant experiences, or equivalent.
The candidate is expected to have below extra qualifications:
- Programming skill in Java and scripting language, i.e. Perl, python, is a must.
- Experienced in OO Design is a must.
- Experience in android OS and its automation is preferred.
- Knowledge or working experience in projects similar to above projects is preferred.
- Leadership experience in either software validation or development is a plus.
- Technical influence and interpersonal influence experience in multi-national company is a must. (English and Mandarin) |
