Encounter™ Design Flow Guide and Tutorial

This manual can be used in two ways:
■ Basic Flow Guide—Shows a design flow that highlights the capabilities of the
Encounter product. It describes the tasks needed to complete a hierarchical
design, starting from a gate-level netlist and ending with a file in GDSII stream
mask data format using hierarchy and manual budgeting.
■ Tutorial—Annotated Tcl scripts link directly from the flow steps, providing a tutorial-like
resource for learning the Encounter™ tool.
