mis stands for Mentor Install Source.

Once you have the mentor program installed. There is a directory named "install.ixl". The "install (mgc_install)" is under install.ixl.

execute "install", the Mentor Graphic install window will show up. --> select "Install Products". After that just follow the guide line, you can install mis file.
