System Software/Firmware Engineer

Location: Shenzhen, China



Job Description:

1.Ableto work independently to qualify the system board hardware design for highperformance data and voice reference designs and software developmentplatforms;
2.Debugand hardware board bring up together with local hardware engineers;
3.Workclosely with multinational VLSI, system hardware and firmware engineers tocomplete the tasks in a limit of schedule;
4.Providetechnical support to field application engineers on customers in Asia Pacific,primarily in China;


Qualifications:

1.Aminimum of BSEE with prior work experience preferred. MSEE is a plus.
2.Has a technical understandingof interfaces such as memory, Ethernet, PCI, TDM, SPI, SDRAM, DDR.
3.Understanding and debug abilityof both digital and analog circuits.
4.Must be literate in bothChinese Mandarin and English.
5.Able to travel to customerlocations.
6.Have experience in hardwareboard design is a plus



Experience and Skills:

1.Experiencedin code development in an embedded environment. This includes familiarity with:
-The use of JTAG/BDM debuggers
-The use of equipment such as logic analyzers,protocol analyzers etc.
-Hardware-software interfacing issues and theability to debug such interfaces
-Memory and MIPs constraints that embeddedsoftware must abide by
2.ExcellentC programming skills and assembly language programming experience is verydesirable.
3.Experiencewith the ARM processor - architecture, tool-chain - would be a plus.
4.Familiaritywith Voice-over-IP would be very desirable.
5.Familiarwith Windows and Linux platform;
