PLL时钟合成器中，spur和phase noise这两个定义有什么区别和联系呢？

Spurs的单位是dBc，PhaseNoise的单位是dBc/Hz,PhaseNoise在频域中用频谱仪观察，相位噪声表现为噪声边带连续地分布在载波频率的上下两边，在时域中，相位噪声是很难看到的。

jitter has much types of defenitions.
RMS jitter is the most used one.
it can be calculated from Phase noise log-plot integration.
the integration range depends on system requirement.
RF_LO/ADC_SOURCE/CLK_DESKEY/CDR ...have its own SPEC depends on its applications

Spur includes in-band/out-of-band spur, the in-band spur should be Fractional spur which comes from divider dithering is division ratio and will be integrated into RMS-jitter.

Out-of-band spur is defined by system isolation requirement.....

我觉得spur其实也就是phase noise，完全一样的，只不过spur产生的原因更特殊一些，所以针对这种特殊的phase noise，定义了一个新的名称：spur，归根到底，应该还是phase noise，上面说的spur的单位是dbc，其实跟phase noise的单位dbc/hz一样。spur是在某一个特定频偏的噪声，实际上也就是dbc/hz，只不过因为我们知道这个频偏，所以就忽略了而已

spur如果对于整数分频的PLL，主要来自控制电压上的低频噪声被vco调制到了vco的输出频率附近，一般离中心频率是参考源频率，phase noise主要来自于vco以及reference的phase noise,是jitter在频域的表现

简单来讲，有周期性的，规律性的扰动形成Spur，比如一个纯的Cos(wt)信号，它的傅立叶变换在频域的表现就是两根谱线在w 和-w处，只要在PLL中出现了周期性的扰动，那么这个扰动的频率处就会出现很强的spur，这就为什么说电荷泵的leakage，还有mismatch等会造成spur，因为电荷泵是每隔一个鉴频鉴相周期动作一次，这个就是周期性，自然在PLL噪声曲线会出现spur，这个spur出现的地方正是PFD的频率及其倍频处。
