All instructors can request copies of a complete solutions manual from the publisher.
The directory you are in contains 11 subdirectories, one for each PART in the book. Inside each
subdirectory, you will find the MATLAB programs that solve the computer project(s) at the end of the
corresponding PART. For ease of reference, the programs have been labeled according to the
item they solve, say partA.m, partB.m, partC.m, and so on.
The MATLAB programs are offered without any guarantees. While I have found them to be effective for the
instructional purposes of this textbook, the programs are not intended to be examples of full-blown or
optimized designs; practitioners should use them at their own risk. For example, in order to keep the codes
at a level that is easy to understand by students, I have often decided to sacrifice performance in lieu
of simplicity.
In designing these projects, I have made an effort at choosing topics that are relevant to practitioners.
I have also made an effort at illustrating to students how a solid theoretical understanding can guide
them in challenging situations.
All readers (instructors and students) can download a free solutions companion to all computer
projects in the book, with extensive commentary and performance plots.
THE MATLAB CODES AND THE SOLUTIONS TO ALL PROJECTS CAN BE DOWNLOADED EITHER FROM THE PUBLISHER'S
WEBSITE OR THE AUTHOR'S WEBSITE BY ALL READERS.
