Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Plans and directs all aspects of engineering activities within a team of SW Engineers and Engineering Testers in the design, development, and SW maintenance of VoIP Access/Gateway and Carrier Ethernet products
Ensures all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization's established priorities and objectives.
Conducts annual performance management and improve team competence as well as other team management activities
Proactively reports status, risks and mitigation on current projects to Directors.
Participates in design and code reviews with cross-functional teams.
Works closely with cross-functional management, primarily Program Management, System Validation & Test, Operations, Customer Support, and Product Management.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in engineering or related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Typically has an advanced technical degree.
Solid R&D experience in telecom industry and 3+ management experience or strong leadership competences
Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents in English.

Become an integral member of Turin Networks’ Logic Design team; providing technical leadership and expertise developing design verification strategies and methodologies for intellectual property (IP) cores and System on a Chip (SoC) solutions.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the design verification of reusable IP cores and SoC solutions,
Definition and execution of design verification plans,
Debug of failing test cases and report test coverage metrics,
Participation in prototyping of IP cores,
Participation in lab bring-up, debug, & validation of SoCs.
Requirements:
BS or MS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with at least 3 years experience in design verification of SoC solutions using industry-standard EDA tools,
Must have good communication and inter-personal skills; ability and desire to foster a team environment,
Skills of the perfect candidate:
Extensive experience creating design verification environments using Systemverilog, VERA or Specman.

Experience: Candidate must have extensive experience in designing low cost 30 to 200 watt, 200 KHz switch mode power supplies with efficiencies greater than 80% that incorporate softstart, short circuit and overvoltage protection with sequential start-up control for secondary voltages. Past designs should demonstrate the use of the latest technology available for pulse width modulation circuits and meet industry expectations for "Design for Testability?and "Design for Manufacturability.? Past designs should also exhibit excellent technique at the board level in suppressing EMI radiated and conducted emissions.
