Computer simulation has many applications in science, engineering, education and even in entertainment. For instance, pilots use computer simulations to practice what they learned without any danger or loss of life.

A circuit simulator is a computer program which permits us to see the circuit behavior, i.e., circuit voltages and currents, without making it. Using a circuit simulator is a cheap, efficient and safe way to study the behavior of circuits. A circuit simulator even saves your time and energy. It permits you to test your ideas before you go wasting all that time building it with a breadboard or hardware, just to find out it doesn’t really work.

This book shows how a circuit can be simulated in a Proteus® Design Suite environment. Proteus Design Suite (designed by Labcenter Electronics Ltd.) is a software toolset, mainly used for creating schematics, simulating electronics and embedded circuits and designing PCB layouts.
