Understanding Quartz Crystals
The usage and applications for quartz crystal devices is increasing with each new technological advancement in computers and peripherals, consumer electronics, telecommunications, and industrial electronics. More and more engineers are now responsible for specifying crystal parameters for their specific application.
Along with this new responsibility comes the need to better understand crystal devices. This Engineering Note will attempt to take away some of the mystery in trying to define certain parameters for crystals.
