Hi,

I am looking for an old soft FPGA Compiler II 3.4.0 or 3.5.x
I am dealing with a old personal circuit that uses an old FPGA from Xilinx XC5215

Anybody can help me find this program ?

I found FPGA Compiler 3.6 and 3.8 however above 3.5.2 they didn't ship with the choice to use XC5200 family anymore or if anybody knows how can I enable the version 3.8 to use the older library I would be happy too.
The version present in Xilinx ISE 3.1i (FPGA Express 3.4 / 3.5) has all the library I need however is a OEM soft with limitations.
If anybody knows how to activate the XC5200 family on FCII 3.8 would be very welcome !

Is there a reason for not using Xilinx Vivado?
Since FPGA synthesis and P&R need to be done, the S-FPGA Compiler must use the libraries provided by Xilinx, so there are no particular advantages.

Additionally, the tool used for FPGA synthesis is DesignCompiler, and the license is for FPGA Compiler.
If you want to use S's tool, Synplify Pro from S is more suitable than DesignCompiler.

While DesignCompiler + Xilinx FPGA libraries do work, they are not functionally recommended due to the lack of development support after the acquisition of Synplify Pro.

I agree with you the problem is, the family XC5200 stop to come arround in any tool from Xilinx in 2001 or 2002 they started only to ship with XC4000E or L or XC95xx and XC3000 or XC7000 also was cut from any releases. If you tell me how to use any of those modern tools to synthesize a XC5200 from it I would be very happy to hear and learn from you.  


Also I know that Mentor LeonardoSpectrum 2001 or Precision Synthesis 2002, both tools had the library to process XC5200 family, but those tools cannot be found anywhere these days.
