This book compiles an overview of advanced nanodevices design employing advanced simulation tools into a single resource. Process simulation is analogous to virtual semiconductor device manufacturing. According to IRDS, 3D integration is one of the most important directions to include in device performance roadmaps. The readers are introduced to device design and simulation after a brief overview of basic device physics. As transistor sizes shrink,nanowires and nanosheets offer the advantage of having a smaller channel and a higher surface-to-volume ratio. The design, simulation, and analysis of Si, heterostructure silicon-germanium (SiGe), and III-N compound semiconductor devices are covered in this monograph. As we enter an era of atomic-scale device dimensions, it has become imperative to utilize advanced simulation tools.
