AMD Shanghai R&D Center (SRDC) CGE team has been immediate opening for a Compo
nent Engineer 2 position. Key responsibilities of the position are listed as b
elow.
Key Responsibilities
o    Responsible for sourcing new electronic components per the request, and p
rovide  guidance for component selection  
o    Identify and analyze alternate components for the purpose of End of Life
replacements, design updates, or cost reduction
o    Create/maintain AMD Part Number in the system and conduct component chang
e request
o    Coordinate the testing for part qualification of custom components (such
as connectors and dongles) for EMI, SI and others
o    Provide support for any component-related production issues (such as qual
ity, shortages, discrepant material, etc)
o    Responsible for Approved Vendor List (AVL) and Sample Library maintenance
and management
o    Responsible for component quotation and database maintenance

Requirements
o    B.S. degree in Electronic Engineering or related background
o    Good English skills required – verbal and written

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
o    A minimum of 3 years of experience in component selection and technology
assessment  
o    Good Knowledge of component manufacturing, qualification and reliability
evaluation
o    Be familiar with Environmental Compliance (ROHS and HF) and certification
involve RoHS exemption
o    Knowledge about PCB assembly process
o    Be familiar with e-Matrix or Agile system
o    Have a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to teamwork
