(Sr./Staff)Backend Application Consultant (AC)

Location:Shanghai

JobDescription:

PhysicalDesign Application Consultant (AC) is expected to support the sale and adoptionof Synopsys products to help customers achieve tangible and lasting performanceimprovements in the cost, quality, and development time for projects.

PhysicalDesign ACs support Synopsys physical design (P&R) solutions. In addition,they are expected to articulate design methodologies involving Synopsys toolsand be elevator-talk proficient in the full Synopsys tool portfolio.

Theirsales support roles include product demonstrations, evaluations, competitivebenchmarking and account planning; Customer support roles include training,problem resolution, service delivery and technical account management.

PhysicalDesign ACs leverage their knowledge by writing SolvNet Articles, and byassisting other ACs. They also provide technical feedback to Synopsys productdevelopment teams pertaining to critical issues and recommended enhancements.Business travel will be required for this position.

Requirements:

-MSEE, orequivalent required with 5+ years of experience, or BSEE or equivalent with 7+years of experience.

-Experiencesshould include ASIC/SoC back-end design (Place & Route), knowledge of designingin 28nm or below process technologies is preferred.

-Experiencein timing sign-off and physical verification is desired. Excellent verbal andwritten presentation/communication skills are mandatory.

-Customersensitivity, the ability to multiplex many issues & set priorities and havea helpful/caring attitude towards customers, and the desire to help customersexploit new technologies are essential for success in the position.
